Ever thought about how people interacted with each other, long before the discovery of language or even knowledge? In prehistoric times people used body language and other visual signs to represent information. These communication modes were very effective in the way that they displayed the needs and requirements, particularly within a family.

What actually Communication is?

How amazing that even without the invention of language or words, people could interact with each other. Any emotion that a human being goes through is accompanied by neuro signals that can trigger feelings, actions, and even words. This highlights the importance of communication that includes your gestures, body language, facial expressions, and even your postures that can convey your thoughts.

It is also worth mentioning that different relationships have their own mode of interaction. Professional people require a more formal and expressive way, while communication in relationships is somewhat very different. It is more complex and goes far beyond words.

Over the period of time, communication in relationships improves and varies as people develop a better understanding of each other. It is not confined by anything, and words only become a choice, rather than a necessity. Modern-day linguistic researchers have studied the psychology of the prehistoric language mode, and describe it as the DNA of communication because they can’t be altered in one way or the other.

Relationships Usually Use the Following Six Modes of Communication

Optical Communication: This mode of interaction includes visually representing information. This improves visual gestures, indications, and signals that can display your thoughts. However, care must be taken that these forms of communication can be misinterpreted easily.

Auditory Commutation: Anything that is communicated by voice is regarded as auditory interaction. This form of communication is more often used in relationships. Prefer this sort of communication as it is more clear, informative, and explanatory.

Emotional Communication: This form of interaction mainly applies to gestures and languages. Studies prove that the emotional mode of interaction is the most commonly used form of communication among friends and family.

Emotional

Written Communication: This communication refers to the written form of expression. This involves letters and other notes written to the loved ones. The digital way of life has also altered written interaction. Nowadays, written communications are carried more by social media platforms.

Written-Communication

Passive communication: Passive interaction cannot be considered a proper mode of communication. However, it is most often used. In this type of interaction, people use indirect modes of addressing, without using names. It is more often used to avoid conflicts and arguments and also conveys the message.

Assertive Communication: The Assertive mode is the general mode of communication that we use in everyday matters. This mode enables you to convey information and clarifications about yourself. This mode of interaction also displays information about your needs and requirements.

Precisely, there is no limitation of communications. Everything and anything the displays your feelings can be termed as communication. Even silence in some forms is the best mode of interaction for some cases. Ideally, no one can describe the best relationship for your family requirements. It depends upon your mental bonding and level of association with others.
